From June 2024, a new site-specific, tiled work by Berlin-based artist Claudia Wieser can be seen on the rounded elevator shaft at the entrance to the restaurant of Hamburger Bahnhof.

A permanent installation as part of the Unendliche Ausstellung (Endless Exhibition), Wieser's contribution to the collection is curated by Anna-Catharina Gebbers. In the artwork, titled Something In and On Something Else, space and time, the building and its past merge into the present: composed of 3,000 glazed ceramic tiles formed around the cylindrical architectural form, abstract shapes and historical photographs open up a dialogue between the building and its past.
