This publication is dedicated to the film work Towards No Earthly Pole (2019) and the exhibitions of the same name at the Aargauer Kunsthaus (2020), Aarau, MASI Lugano (2019/20) and the Dallas Museum of Art (2021) by the French-Swiss artist Julian Charrière (*1987) and places them in context with essays by leading scholars from the disciplines of philosophy, film studies, polar research and art history.
