Andi Fischer paints with boldness and conviction, embracing a process that leaves no room for revisions. His visual language—shrub, vessel, disheveled raven, cloud, castle, sun, house, patch of colour— is applied to the canvas with oil pastel and charcoal. In these new works, humans have vanished. And they are not missed, the troublemakers. Instead, figuration and abstraction find an easy harmony. The white space between the forms allows each painting to breathe, while the untouched edges of the canvas suggest an openness, as if the shapes drift from one work to the next, settling—like ravens in a field—wherever they please.

The publication accompanies the exhibition Enorm viele Vögel fliegen, 2025 at Sies + Höke and includes a text by Boris Pofalla.
