Forty years after its founding, La Nuova Pesa presents the exhibition XL. Memorie in divenire (XL. Memories in the Making), a project that brings together and intertwines the many voices that have marked the history of the gallery from 1985 to today.

For the occasion, the spaces in Via del Corso are transformed into a large contemporary picture gallery: 180 works by 180 artists who have passed through the gallery over the last four decades are arranged to compose a single choral installation. Not a simple visual and nostalgic archive, but an opportunity to intertwine memories once again and stimulate intergenerational dialogue. An invitation to retrace history with an eye to the future, aware that the critical and artistic roots of recent decades are the foundation on which to build the present and the future.

XL. Memorie in divenire reflects the complexity of a forty-year journey, but also its continuous transformation: a memory that does not close in on itself, but remains open, ready to be reinterpreted and to generate further possibilities for dialogue.
