Group show featuring Sophie von Hellermann

Co-curator Ruth Ur invited painter Sophie von Hellermann to create a wall work to accompany the new exhibition at Brücke-Museum, Biographies of Modern Art: Collectors and Their Artworks.

The site-specific work unifies the life stories and personalities of the eight collectors presented and honoured in the exhibition: art historian Rosa Schapire, art critic Max Osborn, the collector Rosy Fischer, the salonnière Elsa Glaser, economist Hans Heymann and his brother, the writer Walther Heymann, the “jack-of-all-trades” Hugo Simon and art dealer Victor Wallerstein.
