“Mind your stance!” — In a world that appears to be unravelling, this advice is more topical than ever. In the quest for orientation, a firm position can mean rescue—but it can also mean danger.
The greater the tension, the greater the danger of stumbling and at some stage losing control. Stance and fall are very close to each other. Between political tension and poetic dissolution, the artists play with this contradiction in terms. They develop impressive pictures of the rearing up and falling down of the body, of dancing and stumbling between the positions. The works focus in particular on the dissolution of established movement patterns, the fascination with overcoming physical limitations and the play with flexibility.
