Berlin based artist Daniel Gustav Cramer’s (*1975) exhibitions often consist of an installation of individual elements that together unfold as one single body, comprised of a variegated range of work including photographs, sculptures, books and text works that allow a glimpse into the very personal and poetic universe of the artist. Comparable to an entanglement of vague memories, all works are joined in a sort of elliptical sequence to form a cohesive visual system.

For Art Basel Parcours Cramer will present a sound installation placed in the rooms of the first floor of a town house. The house that was just recently abandoned is now in between being refurbished and handed over to the new owners. The project is the first presentation of Cramer´s archive of recordings, which were taken over the last years in various coastal regions spanning from Darwin in Australia to Ericeira in Portugal to Santa Monica in California. The architecture of the building allows the visitor to listen to a singular recording or, by walking through the spaces, experience and control the overlap of a multitude of recordings.
