Hedda Schattanik and Roman Szczesny are based in Düsseldorf and present a haunting and energetic collaboration in the form of media-based art. Through the use of algorithms, avatars, AI technology and photography, video and sculpture, this artist duo transposes and expands the immediate but cerebral quality of cinematic storytelling. This work embodies the implications of future technologies, today and will take the form of a large-scale installation in the Great Hall.

Julian Charriere presents his most ambitious solo exhibition to date at Langen Foundation. Controlled Burn will occupy the whole of the Tadao Ando designed museum in Neuss. Featuring 8 new commissions set within a constellation of major works from Charrière’s oeuvre, the exhibition represents the artist’s most extensive exhibition to date.
Wieser’s site specific wallwork for The Leadenhall Building weaves various narratives—fictive, biographical, historical—into a backdrop that functions like a stage, encouraging the viewer to consider his or her place in time at the center of a great human drama that unfolds recurrently and relentlessly.

Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa creates dreamlike works of art with elements from literature, folklore, magic and childhood memories. His performances, sculptures and installations are rooted in experimental theatre and they have a political activist side too. In particular, the tragic civil war in his homeland Guatemala (1960-1996) is a recurring theme.
The current situation gave rise to the idea of an exhibition about color, joy, and happiness, which is meant to put a smile on our faces, even if just for a moment. Its focus is the joie de vivre and euphoria that art can make us feel.
